Everyone more or less has some sort of electronic presence. That presence can easily be seen on Twitter, Facebook, personal blog, Google account, Buzz etc. The recent uproar against Google and Buzz because it was initially Opt-Out and not Opt-In should be revisited by comparing it to other companies such as Internet Service Providers, Financial Institutions and Utility companies. People will be surprised as to how many of those companies default to Opt-Out vs Opt-In.
